Sign Up to Talk to Lawmakers During March 5 and April 8 Events
This feels like an even more important time than usual for us individuals to impress policymakers of our principled views on a range of issues — including our shared goal of building a better, healthier, more sustainable food system.
And thanks to Illinois Stewardship Alliance's upcoming Advocacy Days, you will have the opportunity to have your voice heard directly by lawmakers at the Illinois state Capitol in Springfield.
According to the Alliance, you are welcome to participate no matter your experience level: "Our Advocacy Days are designed to make it easy for you to make a powerful impact from your first step in the Capitol. You’ll be guided through every step of the process. The more of us who show up, the louder our message will be."
The first of these, Soil Health Advocacy Day, will take place on Wednesday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Click the button below to register and join the Illinois Stewardship Alliance, Illinois Environmental Council, Illinois Soybean Association, Association of Illinois Soil and Water Conservation Districts, and fellow partners and advocates from across the state to advocate for a slate of issues that aim to protect our soil, climate and water quality.
Then Food & Farm Advocacy Day will be held on Tuesday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Click below to register and join the Illinois Stewardship Alliance, Illinois Food Justice Alliance, the Illinois Environmental Council, and fellow partners and advocates from across the state to advocate for a slate of issues that aim to help Illinois farmers feed Illinois.
