As promised, this article combines the previously published Local Food Forum lists of Chicago region indoor winter farmers markets and other farms and outlets from which you can secure your off-season local food fix.

The following winter local food sources are in or serve the Chicago region. If you know of any that I missed, please share the details with me at bob@localfoodforum.com.

And if you are looking for winter farmers markets in Illinois outside Chicagoland, visit the Illinois Farmers Market Association website.

I recommend that you bookmark this page for easy access, though it will be pinned to the Local Food Forum website homepage throughout the season.

Also, please note that only some of the winter markets are held weekly; others are held on selected dates. Make sure you know before you go.
