Foundation Based in Chicago Suburb of Lake Forest Manages Historic Farm

Elawa Farm Foundation manages a historic small farm in the north Chicago suburb of Lake Forest while providing classes, dining experiences, farm tours, and a farm camp.

And they have just announced the arrival of their new resident chef... and a new cooking class series.

Here what they posted on Facebook:

Introducing Chef Mickey Knutson at Elawa Farm

We are thrilled to welcome Chef Mickey Knutson as Elawa Farm’s resident culinary teacher. With 17 years of experience in award-winning kitchens, from barbecue and bistros to fine dining, he brings a wealth of expertise, creativity, and passion for seasonal, high-quality ingredients.

Join us this April and May for a series of themed cooking classes led by Chef Mickey, each featuring a live cooking demonstration and a carefully curated menu inspired by different culinary traditions. Guests will enjoy the meal together, along with a featured cocktail presented by our resident mixologist, Tim Clark.
