Foundation Based in Chicago Suburb of Lake Forest Manages Historic Farm

Elawa Farm Foundation manages a historic small farm in the north Chicago suburb of Lake Forest while providing classes, dining experiences, farm tours, and a farm camp.
And they have just announced the arrival of their new resident chef... and a new cooking class series.

Introducing Chef Mickey Knutson at Elawa Farm
We are thrilled to welcome Chef Mickey Knutson as Elawa Farm’s resident culinary teacher. With 17 years of experience in award-winning kitchens, from barbecue and bistros to fine dining, he brings a wealth of expertise, creativity, and passion for seasonal, high-quality ingredients.
Join us this April and May for a series of themed cooking classes led by Chef Mickey, each featuring a live cooking demonstration and a carefully curated menu inspired by different culinary traditions. Guests will enjoy the meal together, along with a featured cocktail presented by our resident mixologist, Tim Clark.
