Part 2 of the Six-Part Series is Titled Weather, Water and Wind
New Realities: Farming in the Climate Change Era, is an important six-part presented by Farmers Rising, the farmer education non-profit based in Caledonia, Illinois. Part 1, on November 7, was a broad overview of the science behind climate change. Part 2, to be presented online this Thursday (November 21), plunges into the specific and sometimes catastrophic impacts of climate change.
Titled Weather, Wind and Water, this segment will explore how climate change is generating bigger and more frequent severe storms, some of which cause devastating wind damage and flooding on our vital farmlands. The program will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. central time; click the button below to register.
The series of open to everyone who recognizes the dangers of climate change and is concerned about its impact. Farmers are in the front lines of this challenge, but it matters to all of us who seek a better food system.

February 6: Supportive Government Resources and Financing for Climate Resilient Practices
The course will culminate in a February 7 public showing of the movie Common Ground, where local farmers will speak about how climate change affects their farms.
