Farmers Rising's Upcoming Climate Change Webinar and Solstice Party

Illinois Farmer Education Non-Profit Rounds Out 2024 Event

This Thursday (December 5), Farmers Rising — the farmer education non-profit in Caledonia, Illinois — will hold the third webinar in its six-part series titled New Realities: Farming in the Climate Change Era. The organization invites anyone with a strong interest in climate change to attend.

Climate change presents risks to everyone, but farmers already are dealing directly with its impacts. Heat waves, droughts and severe storms can negatively impact the health of the soils that are vital to a sustainable food system. Thursday's webinar, which takes place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. focuses on Increasing Soil Resiliency in the face of cliimate change.
