Chicago's Most Anticipated Annual Tasting Event Exceeds Itself for 2024
Green City Market's annual Chef BBQ is the biggest and most anticipated food and beverage tasting event in Chicago. This year's Chef BBQ takes place the evening of Thursday, September 5 at the market's flagship Lincoln Park space. And while the number of choices is regularly overwhelming, the Green City team has exceeded itself this year.
The "Talent" page on the Chef BBQ site has the lineup of 125(!) restaurants, bakeries and other food providers as well as beverage makers, most of them local craft producers.
There are too many to list here and a sampler would risk leaving out someone who shouldn't be left out. While the Chef BBQ may give the impression that it is a meat-fest, there is much more to it. According to Green City Market, "Chef BBQ's not just about barbecue — featuring fresh, peak season flavors and vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options, there's something for everyone. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available."
