Illinois Hemp Growers Association's Chicago Town Hall on November 8

Event at The Plant to Highlight Important of Building Industrial Hemp Industry

The Illinois Hemp Growers Association (IHGA) is a women-led benefit corporation that educates producers and consumers about the importance of growing the industrial hemp farming and manufacturing sector, while representing the industry's best interests in Springfield and throughout the state of Illinois.

And we have an opportunity to learn more directly from the association at its Hemp Town Hall in Chicago on Friday, November 8. The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Plant, a collaborative community of small food businesses located at 1400 W 46th St, in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

Here's IHGA's description of the event:

Join the Illinois Hemp Growers Association for a Hemp Town Hall on Friday, November 8th from 6-8PM to learn more about supporting a new IL hemp bill that aims to:

🌱 Promote Urban farming, sustainable AG, and local food systems

💡 Position Illinois as an economic innovator

✅ Protect public safety and the hemp industry

We are excited host this event at The Plant, home to a collaborative community of unique, closed loop food businesses on the southwest side of Chicago.

Registration starts at 5:30 in the lobby. We encourage you to grab a drink at Whiner Beer Company and prepare to move upstairs to the Packingtown Museum at 6PM.

Be prepared to to engage with the hemp community, lawmakers, and to share your story.

Space is LIMITED — Reserve your ticket today!
