Bob Zeni's Starter Plants Span Wide Variety of Colors, Shapes and Sizes
Bob Zeni, aka Chicago Tomato Man, is one of our favorite subjects at Local Food Forum. His e-commerce site has an astounding variety of tomato plant starters — the 187 (!) types of tomatoes in all kinds of shapes, sizes, colors and sometimes fanciful names.
His pre-sales for this year's tomato plants are well under way, and the pickup slots for orders, at locations around Chicago and the suburbs, are starting to fill up. The following are Chicago Tomato Man's pickup locations and times that are still open (the slots that are filled are not listed).
