We got a bit behind in keeping our Events Calendar up to date, but it's back in full with lots of great events. Please check it out, browse, and come back often because we're committed to updating it whenever we learn of a food/farm event.

Click the button below to go to the Local Food Forum homepage, then scroll down a little bit.

Get ready for a busy March! The events calendar includes:

  • This weekend's Illinois Product Expo in Springfield.

  • A series of weekly Women's History Month events at Mariano's stores, featuring the products of women entrepreneurs.

  • Illinois Stewardship Alliance's Soil Health Week events.

  • A webinar on breaking the grip of corporate control in agriculture.

  • The 20th annual Chicago Food Justice Summit

  • An oyster shuck-off featuring leading women chefs at Chicago's The Publican restaurant.

  • A series of listening sessions (live and online) to help shape the Illinois Local Food System Roadmap.

  • Chicago Chefs Cook's sensational "I Cook For" dinner to raise funds for multiple charities.

  • The Basil's Harvest non-profit two-day summit in Bloomington on the soil health-human health nexus.

Now you may want to know how you can make the Events Calendar even better. I'm going to tell you, in any case.

It's great that Local Food Forum is connected with all of the above presenters through their newsletters and social media posts. But... if you have an event you want to promote, it's probably not the best idea to rely on me to stumble upon it.

So if you want to make sure you're getting my attention, please click the button below and send me your information: event name, location (in-person or online), date, times, a link to your event/registration page, your event pitch (if you have one) and a graphic/logo (if you have one).

And please, please, please let me know about any on-farm events such as farm dinners, concerts, farm camps for the kiddies, or other agritourism gigs. Our readers want to know about them, and I want to share it.

I get your great content without digging for it, you get the eyes of an audience that is VERY focused on events related to the local food ecosystem. Total win-win.

Oh, and please tell your friends about the Events Calendar.
