Multi-Restaurant Effort to Aid L.A. Fire Victims is Under Way in Chicago

Chicago Chefs Cook Non-Profit Teams with Lifeway Kefir Company on Campaign

In its latest effort to come to the aid of people in crisis, the Chicago Chefs Cook humanitarian non-profit has launched a multi-restaurant campaign to raise money for culinary community victims of the terrible Los Angeles wildfires. The campaign is presented by the Lifeway kefir company, which is based in suburban Chicago.

Unlike most Chicago Chefs Cook fundraisers — which have been single-location tasting events featuring leading local chefs — the Plates with a Purpose campaign has recruited a long lineup of restaurants to each feature a dish on their menus that diners can order to provide assistance to Angelenos in need. Proceeds from those designated dishes will go to the Chicago Chefs Cook for Los Angeles (CCC4LA) fund.
