Non-Profit Elawa Farm Sets Annual Dinner, Seeks Farm Manager

Lake Forest, IL Organization to Host Chef Jenner Tomaska on September 14



Elawa Farm Foundation is a non-profit organization that runs a historic farm in Lake Forest, Illinois, a north suburb of Chicago. Its mission is to steward a historic farm that enriches greater Lake County as a center for experiential learning to broaden access to education, nutritious food and our local food system.


The organization has two big updates.


First, its 2024 Harvest Dinner is scheduled for the evening of Saturday, September 14.

Celebrate the last days of summer at the Harvest Dinner!  Enjoy a farm-to-table feast prepared by acclaimed Chef Jenner Tomaska of the Michelin-starred Esmé.  The evening includes a cocktail reception, live music, and dancing in the Hay Barn.  All proceeds will support Elawa Farm Foundation’s program expansion and campus development.

Also, Elawa Farm is now hiring a farm manager and is seeking an individual who is passionate and knowledgeable about organic, small-scale agricultural practices and is experienced in growing vegetables and/or flowers.
