Women's History Month Event Will Provide Funds to Women's Chef Exchange

Local Food Forum on Friday (February 21) reported about a series of events, featuring women food entrepreneurs, that is being held by Mariano's supermarkets (click here to read the story).
Now we're sharing an amazing event that shines the spotlight on the Chicago region's women chefs.
The Publican — located in the city's Fulton Market District and the flagship of the One Off Hospitality Group — is presenting its annual Oyster Shuck-Off for Charity on the evening of Wednesday, March 12.

The Publican’s Oyster Shuck-Off for Charity is back with an ALL LADY SHUCKER lineup.
Join us on Wednesday, March 12th, as we celebrate Women’s History Month with an incredible crew of Chicago’s top hospitality “she-roes.” The shuckin’ kicks off at 5 PM, with oysters for just $2 all night long!
THE LINEUP:
5 pm – 6 pm: Belinda Chang, award-winning sommelier
6 pm - 7 pm: Chef Tigist Reda of Demera Ethiopian
7 pm – 8 pm: Chef Diana Davila of Mi Tocaya Antojeria
8 pm – 9 pm: Chef Dana Cree of Pretty Cool Ice Cream
9 pm – 10 pm: Chef Sarah Stegner of Prairie Grass Cafe
and Chicago Chefs Cook
Guest Bartender: Lily Wang of Nine Bar Chicago and Cara Cara Club
A $20 deposit donation per person directly benefits the Women’s Chef Exchange, an organization raising funds to provide a cross-culture culinary exchange program for up-and-coming women chefs.
