Soul of the Soil Conference Digs Deep on September 23 and 24

Soil Health Intensive Takes Alternates Between Wisconsin and Illinois

Protecting and improving the health of our vital soils is one of the fundamental priorities for the better food movement. To deepen understanding, the Fields of Sinsinawa farmer-led learning center is presenting a two-day conference on September 23 and 24 that takes place partly in Wisconsin and partly in Illinois.

The program begins with field tours and demonstrations in Sinsinawa, Wisconsin, located in the far southwest part of the state. The scene shifts about 12 miles south that evening to Chestnut Mountain Resort in Galena, Illinois, which will also be the site of the second day conference.

According to the organizers:

We are thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the inaugural Soul of the Soil Conference, hosted by Fields of Sinsinawa! This exciting event will take place on September 23-24, and we would love for you to join us.

The Soul of the Soil Conference promises to be a unique and enriching experience, bringing together experts, enthusiasts, and community members to explore the profound connection between soil health and sustainability. It's an opportunity to deepen your knowledge, engage in meaningful discussions, and connect with like-minded individuals passionate about nurturing our land and communities.

The organizers also note that those with financial need may apply for a scholarship to attend the event.
