Field Day at Citadelle Green Mountain Organized by Community Food Navigator
Would you like to be an urban farmer, even just for a few hours, and help a grower on Chicago's South Side in her work? If the answer is yes, sign up for the volunteer day that Community Food Navigator is organizing for Saturday, July 27 at Citadelle Green Mountain farm.
Founder/CEO Natascha Neptune is described by the organization as a 1st generation black farmer, and the farm is "a community cornerstone on the South Side."

📅 When: Saturday, July 27th, 2024, from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Activities include:
🌳 Spreading mulch
🌿 Lawn mowing & weed trimming
🌾 Weed, tree stub & bush removal
🌳 Wood chipping
🚮 Debris pick-up (small pieces of plastic, tires, etc.)
What to bring:
👟 Closed-toed shoes
🧤 Work gloves
💧 Water bottle
🌞 Dress for the weather and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty
